The Bank of Maharashtra has introduced the Maha Merchant App, designed to empower small merchants by enabling them to easily generate and use UPI QR codes for transactions. This innovative app allows merchants to quickly register and create both static and dynamic UPI QR codes, facilitating seamless payments from customers through any UPI-enabled application. It’s a move to promote digital transactions by allowing instant and secure fund transfers directly into merchants' accounts without any additional fees.
Key features of the Maha Merchant App include SIM-based authentication, merchant registration, creation of a virtual payment address, and the generation of QR codes. On the transaction front, merchants can utilize the app for collecting payments via QR scanning, checking balances, viewing transaction history, and generating statements.
To get started, merchants need an Android phone with internet access, an active bank account with Bank of Maharashtra, and a mobile number registered with the app and linked to their bank account, ensuring a streamlined and efficient digital payment solution.
